La Petite Ceinture in the 15th arrondissement

A hidden gem and Paris's best kept secret. Over the years, this former railway line in the south of the French capital has been transformed into an urban jungle, leaving behind a beautiful promenade for a refreshing change of scene.

Parc Montsouris

A firm favourite among Parisians for their summertime strolls. The shores of its lake are a great spot for a run, with lush panoramic views as far as the eye can see.

Parc Monceaux

Probably the most surprising park in the capital. A walk in Parc Monceau is a bit like travelling through time. From the ancient Roman colonnade to the miniature Egyptian pyramid, its fantastic artistic and architectural reconstructions make these gardens truly unique.

Explore the city

What better way to explore the city than heading out on a run?! We share our favourite Parisian parks and routes in this handy guide.

Are you feeling the need to start exercising again? At Monnier Frères, come rain or shine, one of our favourite ways to stay fit is running. In the absence of glorious trails in a natural countryside setting, here in Paris, we do have some exceptionally beautiful parks. So beautiful, in fact, that you almost forget you're in the city. Here's a run-down of some of the parks where we love to head out for our morning jog.

Les Buttes Chaumont

Located in the north-east of Paris, the Buttes Chaumont park overlooks the capital. It's perfect for a Sunday stroll, while the steep slopes are the perfect challenge for the keen runners out there. How to get there: Metro Line 7bis stop Buttes Chaumont or Botzaris.

Les Tuileries garden

Nestled in the heart of Paris, Les Tuileries is the ideal place for an early morning or early evening run. The sun's golden rays light up the buildings and bounce off the façade of the Louvre; a spectacle not to be missed.
